Welcome to my first blog post ever.
This blog will be used mainly for Seton Hill purposes, but I will also scatter in other stuff I find interesting. And my first order of business is Meatpunk. Meatpunk is a new subgenre of speculative fiction. Its premise is simple: living organic machines. It is the brainchild of John Dixon, Sheldon Higdon, me, and dozens of others from the Seton Hill University 2011 Fall Residency.
This simple idea can go a thousand ways.
Bizarro, Romance, SF, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Literary Fiction. Think of novels like Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and The Windup Girl or stories like "Pocketful of Dharma" and "The Ballad of Road Mama and Daddy Bliss". Meatpunk.
I challenge you to write your own Meatpunk story. Get it out there. And maybe, just maybe, there may be an anthology coming your way.

This here Meatpunk thing, it's bigger than all of us...
